Fatherhood Mentoring Foundation was formed to help
fathers improve the quality of life for their family's and children's
future. To help inspire fathers from all walks of life within their
communities through education, mentoring and parental skills.
In February 2009, Wade Edwards, Sr. recognized by self-experience and
professional research that American children were being devastated by
the effect of absentee fathers over the past twenty years.
As a Mentor and Minister in my church outreach program over the years, I
noticed that most churches were not addressing the real fatherhood
problems facing today's children and I decided to work outside the
church walls to help break this cycle of absentee fathers in Louisiana
and throughout our society as a whole.
Fatherhood Mentoring Foundation will be teamed up with 100 Black Men of
Lake Charles and the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization of Lake
Charles, Louisiana and will establish community support throughout the
region.
Fatherhood Mentoring Foundation's Mission and goal are to reduce
absentee fathers in our society and to increase compassionate, caring
mentors into the lives of children.
